La Chouette opened its doors in 2016 as a bike café, mostly selling and repairing vintage bikes. Eventually the bike side of the business grew and they dropped the café and started introducing more brands to Europe that weren’t readily available and stocking those next to the likes of Omnium, Brother & Gilles Berthoud.
The team is multinational and you will hear, French, Portuguese, English and Irish around the shop, this international theme is reflected in the shop philosophy and the brand selection: bringing bikes and accessories to all and providing bikes that are fun to ride yet extremely capable. The shop also takes a step back from the more competitive side of cycling as it doesn’t align the with the camaraderie of the multinational shop.
Right now, La Chouette stock smaller bikes brands that respect and support independent bike shops and they focus mainly on custom builds. Meanwhile their workshop can tackle almost any kind of repair, regardless of the type of bike.
Make sure to check out their amazing online store that carry loads of interesting brands and products not found in every bike shop.
We at OMNIUM are very excited about this effort with La Chouette and hope everyone is as excited as we are.
