As cargo bikes become a bigger and bigger part of modern urban mobility, the considerations for wheel builders evolve with it. We need to consider different wheel diameters and the need for reinforced rims to bear more and more weight. After building many wheels for our clients on their custom bike builds over the years, we can now finally offer a custom DT Swiss wheelset designed for our bikes.
THE TRUE MARMALADE TEST
There’s so many thoughts bouncing around in my head while on tour, whether it’s where I’m gonna sleep, how I’ll find food or water, is that person texting and driving gonna stay in their lane…but one of the things I don’t need to ever think about is if the bike and the components on it will be durable enough to withstand the nonsense I put them through.
Having reliable gear on board is key and this wheelset from DT Swiss has held up through all manner of terrain, ups and downs over multiple mountain ranges and the roughest roads for the last 10,000km, and I trust will continue to keep me rolling for another 100,000km no problem.

We are excited to introduce this new DT Swiss wheelset designed specifically for Omnium, with intended use on our bikes such as the mini, mini-max and cargo. This collaboration is an important milestone in adapting high-performance engineering to the unique challenges of heavy-load, utility-focused cycling. By applying their experience in spoke, hub, and rim design to a different kind of riding need, this collaboration highlights how performance technology can be adapted to support everyday transport.
